The fifth workshop of the IWAMA project focuses on nutrients reduction and recovery in the wastewater treatment sector. The event takes place on 13–15 June 2018 in Kalmar, Sweden.
The workshop introduces to the participants the context and approaches to nutrients reduction and exemplifies various technologies for ensuring this process on the plant. The topic of circular economy is highlighted throughout the event related to the recovery and reuse of nutrients. The event features three site visits: to the Malmfjärden site dealing with sediment uptake and lake remediation, to the local wastewater treatment facility, and to the desalination plant located on the Öland island.
