Baltic Sea Day 2019
XX Anniversary International Environmental Forum Baltic Sea Day is organized in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 21–22 March 2019. The IWAMA project with its approach to smart sludge handling and one of the launched investments will be presented during the event in the framework of the platform BSR WATER launched to enhance continuous cross-sectoral cooperation in smart water management.
National events
Five national dissemination events are planned in IWAMA to promote locally the project results and outputs. All events are organized in local languages and supported with translated IWAMA outputs.
IWAMA Final Conference in Turku
The Final Conference of the IWAMA project was organized in Turku, Finland, on 30–31 January 2019.

Linnaeus Eco-Tech 2018
The conference Eco-Tech 2018 is organized in Kalmar, Sweden, 19-21 November 2018. It is the 11th International Conference on the Establishment of Cooperation among Companies and Institutions in the Nordic Countries, the Baltic Sea Region and the World. The conference welcomes researchers, scientists and students, professionals from business sector, municipalities and social enterprises, entrepreneurs and authorities from all countries.
6th Capacity Development Workshop in Gdansk
The sixth workshop of the IWAMA project focuses on the constructional and operational challenges of wastewater treatment management. The event takes place on 19–21 September 2018 in Gdansk, Poland.
5th Capacity Development Workshop in Kalmar
The fifth workshop of the IWAMA project focuses on nutrients reduction and recovery in the wastewater treatment sector. The event takes place on 13–15 June 2018 in Kalmar, Sweden.
9th Annual Forum of the EUSBSR
The 9th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 4–5 June 2018. The Forum will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia together with the Baltic Development Forum in close cooperation with the European Commission and other partners. About 700 participants from governments, international organisations, NGOs, universities, local and regional administrations and businesses will come together to discuss developments and challenges in the Baltic Sea Region.
Sludge Management in Circular Economy
The conference "Sludge Management in Circular Economy" is organized as a part of the IWA Specialist Group on Sludge Management (SGSM) conference series on 23–25 May 2018 in Rome, Italy. The event will bring up, among others, the topics of effective sludge management options and existing innovative technologies, the issues of reducing and reusing sludge, and developments in sludge regulations.
Baltic Water Works Conference
The Baltic Water Works Conference is an annual conference bringing together professionals from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia water companies. This year, the event will be organized in Palanga, Lithuania, on 23–25 May 2018.
IFAT – the World's Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management
IFAT, the World's Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management, is organized on 14–18 May 2018 in München. Presentation of the entire range of environmental technology products is available on the event, as IFAT covers the areas of water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management.
4th IWAMA Webinar on Pre- and Post-treatment
The fourth capacity development webinar of the IWAMA project is focused on the topic of Pre- and Post-treatment.

IWAMA Water Forum
IWAMA Water Forum is organized in Växjö, Sweden, on 23–24 October 2017. The Water Forum aims to bring together representatives of various spheres in the water sector to learn the tools that can improve water management, to discuss solutions to common problems, and to communicate the needs of the field to cities’ authorities.

The 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region will take place in Berlin, Germany on 13–14 June 2017. As a part of the Forum, IWAMA has its seminar on capacity building and cross-border cooperation needs.
3rd Capacity Development Workshop in Szczecin
The 2nd Capacity Development Workshop of the IWAMA project focuses on energy efficiency in the wastewater treatment sector. The workshop is organized on 7–8 June 2017 in Szczecin, Poland.

The XVI National Forum for Exchange of Experience on Wastewater Treatment Operation is held in Jachranka k/Serocka, Poland, on 24–26 May 2017.
2nd IWAMA Webinar on Energy efficiency
The 2nd capacity development webinar on the IWAMA project focuses on energy efficiency. This theme will be opened up through discussing automation, data utilization and sensors in wastewater treatment and will be followed up by the presentation on technical safety management.

2nd Capacity Development Workshop in Boltenhagen
The second workshop of the IWAMA project will focus on energy production in the wastewater treatment sector. The event will take place on 14-15 February 2017 in Boltenhagen, Germany.
1st Capacity Development Webinar
The 1st webinar of the project features a range of presentations and following discussions. The first hour is reserved for introducing the development of the idea for the IWAMA project and presenting the current state of capacity building in the course of it. The second hour is focused on the presentation of resource efficiency in the wastewater treatment sphere.
1st Capacity Development Workshop in Lahti
The framework of the IWAMA project includes, among other activities, several workshops aimed at developing professional knowledge in the wastewater treatment sphere. The first workshop of the series will introduce identification of capacity development needs in wastewater treatment plants. It will take place on 20-21 September 2016 in Lahti, Finland.
Project kick-off in Daugavpils
