IWAMA project consortium

IWAMA project started back in March 2016 – with ambitious goals and results we wanted to achieve to improve the state of the Baltic Sea. After three intensive years of joint implementation of activities in ten countries, testing and learning from each other, we are extremely happy and proud to share a wide collection of produced outputs with our colleagues in the region. Equipped with strong partnership enthusiastic to bring the change to their workplace and the region; with a steadily expanding pool of external stakeholders closely involved in cooperation we are ready to overcome water challenges across the borders.

EVEL seminar

In the end of 2018, Estonian Water Works Association organized a seminar “Operators’ Experience” for the water and wastewater plant operators from its member companies.

In October, one of the most active IWAMA partners Estonian Water Works Association organised a study visit to Madrid, Spain to exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices with colleagues beyond the Baltic Sea Region.

Two-year study program for wastewater treatment operators was launched in Järvamaa Vocational Training Centre in Estonia in September 2017.

Study tour to Portugal

The Estonian Water Works Association goes to Portugal to learn the technologies applied there, as well as national regulations and water management structure.

Seminar on reducing the negative impact in the Baltic Sea basin

The Environmental Centre “ECAT-Kaliningrad” is one of the first IWAMA stakeholders that finalized their Baltic Sea Challenge commitment. We share their story to inspire others.

Smart water sector session

The 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region took place in Berlin on 13–14 June 2017. During the Forum, the IWAMA project was presented in two sessions – read the summary from the event.
