The XIX International Environmental Forum "Baltic Sea Day" is organized on 22–23 March 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia, to bring up global and regional environmental matters. The agenda of the Forum is focused on the Baltic Sea environment and regional activities, particularly, involvement of municipalities and ensuring environmental safety in the region. In parallel to this Forum, the exhibition "Ecology in the Big City" will be held in the same venue: the convention and exhibition centre "Expoforum".
Baltic Sea Day 2018 is organized and supported by HELCOM, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, and the Government of St. Petersburg.
During the Forum, the IWAMA project will be introduced throughout the roundtable "Sustainable Water Management to protect the marine environment from land-based pollution". During the discussion, speakers will highlight the wide regional cooperation on the basis of the Baltic Smart Water Hub launched earlier, and the approaches to smart sludge management that have been developed in our project.
