The 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region will take place in Berlin, Germany on 13–14 June 2017. The major theme of the event is “Connectivity” highlighting the development of cooperation and the necessity to intensify contacts in the region. The Annual Forum brings together participants from governments, international organisations, universities and businesses, and the event offers a wide networking occasion for the regional actors to share results and experience, look for solutions of local challenges.
IWAMA session
As a part of the Forum, IWAMA is proud to hold a seminar "Smart Water sector". The seminar will approach successful capacity building and cross-border cooperation that fosters modernization of the labour market and leads to the smart inclusive growth reinforcing the innovation-based water sector.
IWAMA session is organized in the venue Rathenau-Saal on 13 June 17.00–18.30.
The seminar will consist of expert presentations and a discussion round among the panelists. Presentations will reflect the importance of capacity development from various perspectives: those of funders and investors, researches and practitioners in the field, as well as institutions offering continuous education possibilities. Further, the panelists representing water companies’ associations and training centres from the Baltic Sea Region will conceptualise the presented perspectives in respect to the situation with lifelong learning in their countries.
